About the island

We’re getting married on Rhodes, one of Greece’s largest islands, in the Dodecanese. It has a long history, a lot of coastline, and plenty of quiet corners alongside the busier parts.

October is a great time to be there, with warm days, cooler evenings, and fewer crowds than the height of summer. The sea is still warm, and things tend to move at a slower pace.

Flights arrive via Rhodes Airport (RHO). From there, Pefkos is around an hour’s drive by taxi or hire car. Taxis are available outside, immediately in front of arrivals.

If you have time either side of the wedding, there’s plenty to explore. Or you can do very little at all, which is also encouraged.
